Dave Welch

Dave accepted Christ when he was around 10 or 11 years old, in his bedroom after a Sunday service. He was baptized during his teen years. Dave wanted to follow Jesus, and do what Jesus tells us to do.

Dave says, “Accepting Christ has given me purpose. I want to please Him; I want to help others see and accept Christ.” Dave says that knowing Jesus has helped him be more forgiving and less vengeful.

Dave and his wife Astrid have been attending OCC for a couple of years and are happy to be involved in a church close to home. They enjoy the fellowship and learning opportunities they find here and desire to serve and be challenged.

Astrid Welch

Astrid was raised in a Christian home and asked Jesus into her heart at a very young age (maybe 7). She has never strayed from that confession and commitment… it has only deepened as she has grown in her understanding of God, His Word, and what it means to live for Him.

Astrid was a young teen when she publicly declared her desire to walk with God and be baptized. She was baptized at Sherwood Park Alliance Church.

Astrid and her husband Dave have attended OCC for a couple of years, and are thankful to be involved in a church close to home. Astrid says, “I think it’s important to fully commit to the church you attend. I want to be able to serve, vote, and be fully a part of it.”
