Dear Friends,
It’s been a rough week health-wise—I’ve been down with a nasty cold for the past five days and am just starting to get over it. But even while I’ve been sick, there’s been so much to be thankful for!
So far, we’ve received $6,460. Together with the $5,000 matching gift, that brings us to $11,460—we’ve passed our original $10,000 goal to purchase the ministry center we’re currently renting! Praise the Lord! Thank you to everyone who has given and prayed. I’m so grateful!
There’s also been a new development that I’m excited to share with you. While talking with the owner, we learned that his brother also wants to sell the adjoining property. It’s connected to our current center and would double our ministry space. He offered it to us for $10,000—the same price we’re paying for our current center. An incredible bargain!
We hadn’t planned on purchasing both properties, but the extra space would meet a need we’re already experiencing. Each Saturday, more than 50 children gather, along with 15 youth helpers plus our ministry team. On Thursdays, over 40 young people come together, and on Tuesdays, around 20 adults meet for Bible study. It’s wonderful to see the Lord working in so many lives, but making room for everyone has become a real challenge!
As my team and I have prayed about this and sought the Lord’s direction, we feel strongly that this is His provision for our growing ministry. Just last night, we met with the owner and signed the agreement for the adjoining property. He has given us until the end of this month to make the payment. In the coming days, we also plan to complete the purchase of the ministry center we’re currently renting.
This brings the total needed for both properties to $20,000. With $11,460 already provided toward that amount, we have $8,540 still to raise. Seeing how the Lord has provided through so many generous friends has been a real encouragement as we trust Him for the rest.
I’m so thankful for each of you who has been praying with us and for those who have given. Your care for us and the people we serve here in Laguna means more to me than I can say.
Would you continue to pray with us for what is still needed? And if you feel led and are able to give toward it, we would receive that help with much gratitude. I’m grateful to be able to share both the joys and the needs of this ministry with you, and to know we have friends walking alongside us.
Blessings,
Ted
