Moving beyond Sunday morning and our quiet time to be with Jesus.

As we move towards this Thanksgiving weekend, we are reminded to give thanks for the many ways God has provided for us. It is a time to look back and thank the Lord for his goodness and grace in our lives.

On Sunday, I gave us the opportunity for us to consider pausing throughout our day and thank God for our present situation, project, and opportunities. Here, we are able to discover God in everything. Looking at life from this vantage point helps us rearrange our thought patterns so that we believe that God is not just in our quiet time, in our praise music, or in our Sunday morning service. God is in our everything and is interested in us discovering Him in the moment we live. One of the best ways I have found to discover God in my everything is to give Him thanks for the details of the life I am living right now.

So, pause right now, think about what you are about to do next after you finish reading this, and thank him for being in what you are about to do next.
