Dear Church Family,

Merry Christmas! It brings me immense joy to celebrate this sacred season alongside you. Together as a church family, we reflect on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. My heart overflows with gratitude for each of you and the blessings we enjoy together as a community.

This time of year is a beautiful reminder of the boundless love of God, who sent His only Son into the world so that we might have life and hope. As the Gospel of John proclaims: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). The wonder of Christmas lies in this incredible truth: that God, in His infinite mercy, chose to come to us in the form of a humble baby, bringing light into a dark and weary world.

As we reflect on the miracle of Christ’s birth, let us also consider the message of peace accompanying it. The angels declared to the shepherds on that holy night, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests” (Luke 2:14). This peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the deep, abiding peace that comes from knowing we are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. It is a peace that transcends our understanding, guarding our hearts and minds as we trust Him (Philippians 4:7).

Christmas brings immense joy—not only from festive celebrations and the exchange of gifts but also from the deep realization of our Creator’s love for us. The prophet Isaiah anticipated this joy, stating: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). In Jesus, we discover the fulfillment of this prophecy, the One who offers salvation and abundant life to all who have faith.

As we enter the new year, I encourage you to carry the spirit of Christmas with you. May the light of Christ guide your path, and may His love inspire you to share the good news with those around you. This season reminds us that the gift of God’s Son is not just for a single day but for every moment of our lives. Let us witness His grace and truth, extending kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to others.

In the year ahead, may we grow closer to God and to one another as a community of faith. Let us be diligent in prayer, steadfast in service, and eager to study His Word. Together, we can be a beacon of hope and love, reflecting the light of Christ in a world that so desperately needs it.

As your pastor, I pray that this Christmas brings you and your loved ones a renewed sense of wonder, joy, and peace. May your homes be filled with the warmth of God’s presence, and may your hearts overflow with gratitude for His indescribable gift. Let us celebrate with hearts full of worship and lives committed to His glory.

In closing, I leave you with these words from the apostle Paul: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). This is my prayer for each of you, not only this Christmas but throughout the coming year.

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! May God’s peace be with you always.

With love and gratitude in Christ,

Pastor Scott
